International Chess champion Grand Master Shri. Viswanathan Anand visited our college on October 26, 2007. Dr. SM. Kannan, Principal welcomed. Shri. M.V. Muthuramalingam, Chairman delivered the presidential address. Shri. S.S. Jawahar, District Collector felicitated the Chief guest. A gift of Rs. 2.5 lakhs from VCET was presented to Shri. Viswanathan Anand by the District collector. Class toppers were honored on this occasion. The first news letter was released by Shri. Viswanathan Anand and first copy was received by Shri. M.V.
